Who would have thought Austin outspent New York City?? Well!! According to the article "Top-spending city: Austin, not NY" by Bundle.com the top-spending Americans lived in Austin in 2009 with the average of $67,076 when the national average is $37,782 (77% higher than the national average). I guess there is a lot of rich people in Austin...I mean college professors get pay a ton since UT is big on Research and making money. The list is based on how much money is spent on shopping, health and family, food & drink, home-related expenses, transportation, and travel and leisure.
I gotta the chance to visit Mt. Bonnell and Lake Travis during college and man...those houses are breathtaking. Their houses are on or by the lake, up in the hills and mountains. The house's garages in the back are for boats rather than cars and cars are park in the front instead. Its so nice to just go on boat rides whenever in their backyard w/o going anywhere far. This is really a unique town b/c its so individual with many local restaurants and shopping centers making it a place to be. Our motto is "Keep Austin Weird," and heck yeah its weird...in a GOOD WAY!! Plano also made it in the top 5...Yeah yuh!! These are my cities so I'm very happy to see them on the list.
Beside that, UT was the number one party school in my freshmen year...I don't know if I'm proud of that but fo sho its a fun school. We know how to PARTY!! The bottom of the list for spending is Detroit...so sad =(. My bf lives there now, I guess on the bright side he's saving money =). Detroit seriously looks boring...I was there for a little bit to visit my bf and can't imagine myself living there. I would CRY!!!

I have to have it!!
I have to have chapstick or else my lips would be so dry and crack. I bought an EOS chapstick in summer fruit a few days ago and I love it. I heard about it from Michelle Phan who used it in her recent videos. Since its her favorite, I thought I might just try it out. As results, it smells so good that you want to lick your own lips. It is so soft...like butter (almost!). The only drawback is that its kindna bulky making it hard to carry if I wear a wristlet or if I want to put it in my pocket. My guy friend was like only girls would carry that around because its too big for guys to put it in their pocket. Another thing is, it dry up quicker than my burt's bee chapstick. Overall, I like this product and will get another one if I don't get sick of this one by the time I'm done with it.

Hello baby, you called...I can't hear a thing.
This is so Lady Gaga. Another crazy outfit but not shocking at all when it comes to Lady Gaga and her wardrobe malfunction. I can't imaging Lady Gaga dragging this heavy looking dress around the red carpet but if she ever does...OMG!! It would be so epic. Speaking of epic...her telephone music video is so long. I like the song but I wouldn't want to watch the video more than one. I don't like watching music video that has discontinue parts.
Here are more pictures of Hello Kitty only to show people obsession over it.
This is in Taiwan. I want to visit this house when I visit Taiwan in the future.
They make Hello Kitty for us nerdy scientist too. Lab will be a little bit more fun if we get to use this microscope.
This is kindna creepy.
Want a quick and easy way for your opponent to spot u in the war field? Hello Kitty can help.
Hello Kitty is also here to rescue you ladies every month.
Gotta love Hello Kitty and Lady Gaga!!

MIA (aka. busy with interviews)
I'm finally back to write my blog after a month =).
As many of my friends know, I'm into fashion because I grow up with both of my parents being professional tailors. My dad makes men's clothing and of course my mom's expertise is women's clothing. After they moved to America, they became alteration tailors rather than custom make tailors for various reasons. Growing up, all of my clothes (expect for underwear) were made by my mom. She also made my beautiful prom dress and I love it so much. My parents, especially my mom is very talented in designing and sewing even until now cux she is old and should retire. They worked so hard and have been proud owners of Anh's Tailor 2 in Plano, TX (Plano was voted the top 10 cities to live in America-2009)for 8 years...So Holla!!I wish their talents pass on to me but unfortunately, I'm no where close. I can't even alter my own clothes and since most of them have to be taken in or shorten (Thanks God my parents can fix them). Anywayz, regardless that I can't sew I turned to shopping to comfort my inability to adopt my parent's talents.
I found a website called thepaparazzigirl.com that is base in Austin (Hook 'em horns) and I really like their clothes. They are very fashionable with reasonable prices. I was checking out their blogspot and notice a model in one of the picture they posted is my friend, Joanna.
Anywayz, the purpose of this page is not to advertise anyone. I just want to express how proud I'm of my parents and to also support my fellow Austinite for launching an awesome website.

My friend, Joanna rocking it out on the right (2 girls on the right is actually the same person)
On another note...Irene from http://pinkheartedprincess.blogspot.com/ is hosting a contest to celebrate her 100+ follower. And yes!! I want to support her too because she's from TEXAS like me...actually we're not that far apart since we go to the same restaurants here in Dallas.

MIA (the brand of my boots)
I love my new boots which I picked up at Nordstrom rack. I had no idea this is about $120+ and the cheapest price I found is $59ish online. I got it for like $55ish at Nordstrom rack. What a deal!! The heels are every low but they are very comfortable and I love them. I finally have a Cowboyish looking boots. Many girls at Texas (UT) wear those Southern Cowboy boots but they are way too expensive for me. The ones I looked at were $400 and more. Certainly, I can get a fake one but no... My next buy...a pair of Uggs I've been wanting for yrs but my bf threating to break up with me if I wear them b/c he thinks its stupid. Actually, I'm gonna make him buy it for me but my birthday won't be for another 6 months =(. I just have to nag, its what girls do best =). hhahahha Yeah Yuh!!
Spring Break!!
Spring Break doesn't mean much for a new graduate like me anymore until I return back to graduate school...in a few yrs or more. hahha
I love this song so much: "Nothing on you" by B.o.B. Speaking of things I love...crawfish season started. $3.95/pd at Pappadeaux, its the cheapest you can ever get and its pretty decent. I have eating at 10 different crawfish places now and the best have to be cajun corner in Houston and crawfish shack in Austin and maybe boiling crab in Dallas. From what I heard cajun corner is kindna inconsistent but every time I went it was good and its the cheapest compare to Austin and Dallas. Which suck because I spend most of my time in Austin and Dallas not H-town. Poor bf who is missing out on his favorite food since he's in Detroit. They have frozen crawfish ehhh...
We made this last year. I missed how my bf and I would go to Pappadeux every Monday and Tuesday right after class for happy hr food and crawfish for 2 months in a row. You would think I get sick of it but I don't b/c I'm a TRUE crawfish fan.
I missed out some sales on Hautelook.com again b/c I don't get home 'til almost 7PM everyday. =(
